Another thing that you should do if you are interested, is to visit the Vatican. Now, we know that technically the Vatican is counted as its own country, but we have included it on this list because many people make this a day trip while they are visiting Italy.
The rich history is what draws a lot of people here, and you can see where the Pope lives if this is something that is going to interest you. To see the Vatican, you don’t really need more than a day, but if you are hoping to get a tour, you might want to book in advance to save yourself the disappointment.
