The Shaking History of the Hohenzollern Castle

Most people come to Germany to visit the stunningly magical Castle Neuschwanstein. However, many forget that the Germany monarchy was big, with castle’s splattered all over the castle. In the Schwaben land, where Stuttgart is the main city, the Hohenzollern Castle stands watching over the hilly region.

When in Dubai… Have A Private Yacht Party

If you are looking for a cultural getaway then Dubai probably isn’t your ideal destination. Apart from the Dubai dessert and old souks, the rest of the city is a modern concrete jungle. However, if you want to party all night in extravagant surroundings then this will be your dream. Dubai reminded me of Las Vegas, just with a little more class and less drunken behaviour in public.

The Struggle of The Modern Day Single Woman

I am surrounded by the modern day independent woman who gets what she wants on her own, works hard and has so much ambition but is always talking about how men aren’t shit and they are all “wastemen”. I am admittedly one of them and it had me thinking about the society we live in today.

Many people talk about how relationships like our grandparent’s don’t exist anymore, but I don’t think that is the case. I just think less people are willing to deal with someone else’s flaws and mistakes. Many times, people stay in a relationship or marriage because they depend on that person for more than just companionship but also financial support etc. So if you have your own, then there is nothing keeping you in a relationship that has gone sour or with a partner that has gone astray. Soul of A Nation – A Revoking Exhibition

To say I have been living in London for over 3 years and hadn’t been to the Tate modern, I took this art exhibition as my perfect excuse for some culture in the capital.  The soul of a nation – art in the age of black power exhibition showcased art from 1963 to 1983 but not just any type of art. ‘ Black Art’ was initially rejected in America then, with the civil rights movement still fresh, many black artist had to find alternative ways to display and redefine their art.

The exhibition was set up to walk you through different era’s, showing how the art transformed and transcended itself to tell the stories of the unheard. It begins in 1963, the height of the Civil Rights Movement in America. Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea

Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to be a part of the PANDORA Disney Jewellery collection launch in London. As with all things Disney, it was a very magical affair especially when we took a seat at the table to the “tale as old as time” afternoon tea.

Disney was a a big part of most of our childhoods and every time I get a chance to re-live that I jump head first at the opportunity. Especially if  it means I get to meet Maurice and chip.

An Arabian Desert Safari Adventure

                                          Arabian nights, like a Arabian days

I have just returned from an amazing trip to Dubai and apart from the great parties and ladies nights, one of my favourites was the desert safari by Arabian Adventures. I was in two minds about it at first especially after I fully emerged myself into the long journey  to the breathtaking Sahara desert. 

The desert safari to the Dubai swapped the hour and half long camel walk to a fast & furious style dune drive.

The Best of London’s Street Art Part 2

It’s hard not to stop and admire street art when you’re walking the streets of London, it’s almost hard to avoid. This city expresses so much emotion and soul in it’s art, making it so hard not to fall in love.

After my first post showing some of my favourite street art pieces in London was well received I told myself I would do a few more especially since new graffiti pops up all the time. Admittedly, it has been a while but here are the latest street art that have captured my attention and awe.

Mel Tries – A Vegan detox

After this alcohol, sugar – in fact just calories in general, filled summer that I have had I decided to give my body a cleanse. Not only am I attempting #SoberSeptember, I am going Vegan for 10 days too (for the first time everrrr). Why? My skin was so bad by the end of summer and I was always feeling bloated. I’ve been trying to cut down dairy anyway as I’ve noticed a direct correlation to my bloaty feeling and I am sure gluten is instigator too.
